Contact Lenses - Professional Service Fees
Sussex Eyecare Ltd, A General Optical Council Registered Body Corporate, is owned and run by fully qualified and registered Opticians, Charges a private fee of £120.00 per hour for professional Ophthalmic, Orthoptic and Dispensing services, chargeable per Half hour or part thereof.
Certain professional services are offered at a fixed rate as listed below. Professional fees are not subject to VAT.
PLEASE NOTE: A RECENT FULL EYE EXAMINATION IS REQUIRED FOR US TO PERFORM ALL CONTACT LENS FITTING OR AFTERCARE. A CURRENT SIGNED PRESCRIPTION IS PROOF OF THIS.
CONTACT LENS AFTERCARE £35.00
For existing wearers of contact lenses. The fit of the lens is checked, the prescription is verified and adjusted if necessary, and a thorough check on the anterior components of the eye. If the lenses are deemed unsuitable, or you wish to try a different type of contact lens, then a refit may be necessary.
CONTACT LENS REFIT £50.00
For existing wearers of contact lenses who would like to try a different lens, or an experienced wearer who is returning to contact lenses after a short break. This cost includes any repeat visits to ensure that the lenses are comfortable and safe to wear, and includes any aftercare visits for the next 12 months.
NEW CONTACT LENS FITTING £95.00
Foe spectacle wearers who would like to wear contact lenses for the first time. This cost includes an initial trial fitting of various lenses after discussion on their suitability. It also includes the necessary training in handling the lenses, including their insertion and removal, and cleaning and care regimes. Also, any repeat visits to ensure that the lenses are comfortable and safe to wear, and will include all aftercare costs for the first twelve months.
